How does v1 of Airbnb Auto Messages work?

We recently launched v1 of our Airbnb Auto Messages, which out of the gate will not allow you to customize your own messages (this will be available when we launch v2 in the coming weeks!). For now, please see below for the messages you have the option of enabling in the system, and please know we're working on making this system more organized than it is at the moment!

Where to access the Airbnb Auto Messages settings after signing in:

SITE EDITOR > OVERVIEW, then scroll down to "AIRBNB AUTO MESSAGES" (screenshot below)

What are the optional auto messages that can be enabled, and what are the message templates associated with them?

  1. "Send message when external contract verification required for a booking" (message includes a link to complete an External Contract verification)

    Hi [Guest_First_Name]!
    Thank you for booking our property, and we're excited for your stay!
    Before you can access the unit, we do need you to review and accept the property's terms & conditions, as well as verify your identification for security purposes. This required information will also be processed with the front desk on-site to ensure a seamless check-in experience. Please follow the link below to complete this, which only takes a minute or two:

  2. "Send reminder message when external contract verification required for a booking" (reminder message including a link to complete External Contract verification)

  5. "Send a message when check-in instructions are needed and a late booking was confirmed" (message that fires when a booking is placed within 3 days of check-in and External Contract verification is required)

    Please make sure you keep this message handy as it contains important information on checking in for your stay!
